EDHEALTH AUSTRALIA
Ensuring inclusive diabetes support
Quality and safe diabetes care for people with intellectual disability relies on the ability of their family and support staff being able to help them with their diabetes care.
EdHealth Australia works with people with intellectual disability and their support organisations to create person centred diabetes management systems around the needs of each person with diabetes.
Our Services
EdHealth is working to change how people with intellectual, cognitive or psycho-social
disability are supported to care for their diabetes.
"We want people with a disability to be able to get the same standard of diabetes care as those without a disability."
Jayne Lehmann, Director EdHealth Australia

Acknowledgement of Country
We gratefully acknowledge the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which we live and work in today, the Kaurna (gar-nah) and Ngarrindjeri (ngar-rind-jer-i) peoples. We pay our respects to the resilience, strength and wisdom of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders, past and present across the nation.
We recognise the importance of yarning and deep listening to respectfully walk together to plan ways to improve the impact of diabetes on our First Nation's peoples.
