Managing Milly’s BGLs
Course Overview
Milly has a condition that causes her blood glucose levels to drop quickly and unexpectedly. Blood glucose readings are used to evaluate Milly’s glucose absorption from the carbohydrate foods she eats or drinks. It is important for support workers to know how to use the blood glucose meter and how to treat very low glucose readings with the GlucaGen HypoKit.
COURSE aim
To provide Milly’s support workers with the knowledge and skills to actively support Milly with accurate and safe blood glucose monitoring and the actions required to keep her blood glucose levels within the target range.
